About David
God has used David Velasquez to be
a blessing to people all over the world for many years through
word, music, and evangeiism in 40 countries and with 35 recorded
albums.
In 1962 David graduated from the Latin American Bible Institute in
El Paso, Tx. Upon graduation David pastored a church in New
Mexico for the next 10 months. He met Paul De La Torre and Danny
Ramos in Mexico City to Organize the first group "The Kings
Three"
IN 1963
David, Paul and Danny traveled together for next 3 years and recorded three 45rpm record and two albums. This was the beginning of a career in ministry that would change the lives and direction of the whole Velasquez Family and also the De La Torre Family. Since then, many groups, soloists, pastors, evangelists and missionaries have emerged. Others that were a part of these groups have gone on to greater things and joined other organizations. Pastors of Mega Churches all over the world. God used THE KINGS THREE, THE GALILEANS, THE AMIGOS, THE LATINOS, JACI VELASQUEZ, VELASQUEZ, THE CHARISMA, THE NEW HORIZONS and etc,. to change and encourage the lives of so many.

In 1967
The use of Drums and amplified instruments were not being used in gospel or Christian music at the time, especially in southern gospel. But The Latinos were blessed to be the first Latin group to travel internationally and utilize drums and electric amplified instruments with a contemporary sound in gospel music.
In 1970
David Joined The Galileans. The Galileans were awarded the New Artist of the Year Award by GMA and signed with Cannan Records. At the same time The Latinos got signed with Word Records. Both groups reached plateaus that were unheard of in those days and filled halls, auditoriums, churches and parks.
In 1973
David, Robert De La Torre and Eli Velasquez Begin The Amigos. Soon the group signed with Brentwood Records in Nashville, TN. The group was very strong in the East Coast and Canada. The Amigos recorded 10 albums with most of the songs written by Eli Velasquez.
In 1975
The Amigos joined the PTL Club in Charlotte, NC. David Velasquez became the co-host for the spanish programs to Latin America and the group worked as staff musician. Television opened many doors for The Amigos. Quickly The Amigos became one of the favorite Latino christian groups in America and Latin America. The Amigos recorded a total of 10 albums in their years together.
In 1979
Jaci Velasquez (daughter of David Velasquez ) was born in Houston, Texas. David continued to travel with The Amigos for next 3 years. After 23 years and tired of being on the road, David pioneered a church in Houston, TX. He pastored the Church for 5 years and by this time even at the age of 3, Jaci's talent was obvious, she would be singing even in her sleep, before she could even walk, she sang "OUR GOD REIGNS". The Ministry in Houston ended in 1986. David went into a state of depression, thinking that after 27 years, he was a failure. It wasn't until on day driving on a Texas highway thinking it was all over, God spoke to David and asked, "DO YOU LOVE ME? if you do IT IS NOT OVER!"
In 1988
It was a family group, THE VELASQUEZ FAMILY David, Diana and Jaci. Needless to say Jaci was the star of the group. God began to use Her in a special way, opening doors all over the US and many other countries around the world. They recorded 6 projects with Jaci doing 3 of them.
In 1995
